Rick McKee
Rick McKee is a skilled practitioner and first-rate hands-on instructor of green woodworking skills. For decades, he worked as an interpretive artisan at Plimoth Plantation, where he was renowned for his astounding ability to get across subtle shadings of the Protestant Reformation to the general public, while speaking in a defunct dialect and pit-sawing or riving a stubborn oak log.
Since departing the living history scene in 2009, Rick has been a core crew member of Greenwood Fest, taught Plymouth CRAFT's Riving and Hurdlemaking course with Pret and Peter, and occasionally documented his vibrant and varied worklife at blueoakblog.wordpress.com.
